Plumbing Tip #48: How do you remove a radiator?
Turn off the heating and do not do anything until the radiator is cool. Then, switch off the main power supply. Make sure there is no water flowing through the radiator. Hold the valve assembly with one wrench and use the other to loosen the nut that holds the radiator together. Repeat this until all the water has been drained before opening all the nuts completely. Remove the radiator off the valve and lift it from its brackets. Drain all the water inside. To prevent the floor or carpet from getting wet, ensure that there are plastic sheets at the bottom. To put back the existing radiator or a new one, repeat the above process in reverse order.
