Plumbing Tip #22: What should you do if the water from your shower head has become weak?
Reduced water from your shower head is normally only caused by lime scale or mineral build up and can be easily removed with a chemical cleaning solution and a screwdriver. If you do not have a chemical solution, you can always use some vinegar. The first thing you should do is unscrew the shower head from the hose, then unscrew the spray plate and immerse it in the solution. For maximum results, you should leave the spray plate in the solution for a couple of hours and maybe scrub it using a toothbrush. Sometimes under-sized pipes could also be responsible for weak shower pressure and the best solution for this would be to replace them.
