Plumbing Tip #31: - Troubleshooting toilet problems during summer
If your water tank sweats during the summer, here is how you can fix the problem. This normally happens when cold water in the tank cools the surface and interacts with warm, moist air from the outside. This causes condensation, hence droplets of water resembling sweat are produced. A simple way to get rid of this is to install a tank liner made of rubber to the walls of the tank. This will act as insulation barrier between the water in the tank and the hot, moist air from outside.

Another solution which requires a plumber, is to install a tempering valve or mixer that combines the flow of cold water with the hot water coming in, so that the water going into the tank becomes warm. This will cost more and is recommended if budget is not a problem.
